Dreaming in Spanish

You will never believe what happened to me last night!

I went to a DLG (Dark Latin Groove) concert!

DLG is one of my favorite grupos ever!

They sing one of my favorite canciones (songs),  "La Quiero a Morir" ("I love her to Death").  This song always makes me want to dance!  I  know all the words and even sing along!

The Mexican threatened to throw away my  "DLG" cd  years ago,  after hearing it repeatedly for about a month straight!  I really can't get enough of their music. Now any time he hears me pop in the CD, he responds with "Here we go....." (while rolling his ojos!)

I know "La Quiero a Morir" is a remake of the original, but NO ONE can sing it like they do!

Huey Dunbar has an amazing voice!

I had the best time at the concert!  It was a once in a lifetime experience.  The best part  was at one point I realized Huey Dunbar was not on stage!!!  I looked next to me and there he was!  We started chatting up a storm and he signed my t-shirt.  I was in complete awe being so close to Mr. Dunbar!

This was my amazing dream I had last night in Spanish!

I'm sure most of you know that the group broke up in 2000, so none of the above is even possible.  I'm glad I had this dream because in reality I'll never have the chance to go to a DLG concert.  There is still the chance of meeting Huey Dunbar though...

I'm hoping the next time I dream in Spanish, I'll be at an Aventura concert!  Have I ever mentioned how much I love them as well?

  1. Oh girl I love DLG too! My fav is "Juliana". I like Aventura as well...love a good Bachata.

  2. You had me. I've never heard of this group, so I thought you were being totally serious! Too funny. Love it when I have those kinds of pleasant dreams. : )

  3. Yeah, I wish I could have a live dream like that but, with Aventura and Romeos fine self!

  4. You got me too, I thought you were for real. My concert dream would be Ricardo Arjona or John Sebastian.

  5. LOL! I was so upset last year when Aventura came to El Salvador and we didn't have the money to go see them. Now Eduardo tells me they are not even together anymore! I sure wouldn't mind just seeing Romeo though. I hear he is touring ;)

  6. Thanks everyone for commenting! Looks like Aventura is pretty popular judging by what you guys said. Kelsey, I had no idea they are not together anymore! Hopefully Romeo will continue to sing solo because his voice is beautiful.... he's not too bad to look at either! LOL
