Panama City Beach

If you follow us on Facebook you know that we recently went on vacation.  We went to Panama City, Florida.  The beach was beautiful!  We had a really great time.  I thought I'd share some highlights from our trip.

Panama City is known for it's emerald green waters and soft white sand.  It really is a beautiful beach.  We had so much fun playing in the sand and swimming in the pool and ocean.

Panama City Beach, Florida

We went on a "Seafari" which is basically an educational boat ride about sea life.  We boarded the boat and got to see some pretty cool things like Sea Gulls (which we fed), Osprey birds, Dolphins, Horseshoe Crabs, and they even drug a net and pulled it up for the kids to explore.  There were Sea Horses, Flounders, and a ton of other stuff.  It was really cool!

I love this Pelican!  He was so chillin'!

FYI:  Seagulls love cheetos!

Osprey build their nest over water and are considered the hawks of the sea.

Mama and baby dolphin

This was the daughter of the captain of our ship!  She taught the kids so much about the different sea creatures we found in the net.

We also saw some famous houses!  I do not remember who owned this one but if I ever win the lottery, this is what I want!

We also spent some time at Pier Park.  They have tons of things to do there from shopping to an amusement park!

We ate at Margaritaville and my margarita came in a blender!  Woo hoo!  Needless to say I was a  happy camper!

Hubby and son rode this ferris wheel.  I figured I'd sit this one out after 2 of the blender margaritas...

This has got to be one of the funniest things they have at Pier Park....  Maybe it was the margaritas making me laugh so hard but watching grown men do this is HYSTERICAL!  We let the kids do it.  Next time I think hubby and I will join in.  You basically pick a song you want to sing and dance to.  They put you in front of a green screen and align your head with the bodies.  This one of the kids is funny.....but once they figured out they could move their heads OFF of the bodies, it was over.  Being silly was their main goal!

Our nature loving son was in heaven due to the abundance of  "animalitos" to be caught!

A lizard our son caught.

Mr. Cangrejo (crab)

Oh! and did I mention the sea food that is readily available and super cheap!

We took advantage of the great prices on shrimp

and crab legs!  "Low Country Boil" compliments of my brother.

If you've never been to Panama City, it is a great vacationing spot to check out!

Drink in my hand and feet in the sand!
Beautiful Panama City Beach sunset!
We love it there!
