Me, "OMG! Are you not burning up?"
The Mexican, "No! It's cold!"
Me, "OUTSIDE! It feels like a sauna in here!"
The Mexican, "Well, I'm cold."
I decided to avoid an unnecessary argument and secretly set the thermostat back to 65.
This is an argument we have quite a bit. In the summer and winter, I like to keep our thermostat set at a constant temp that will keep us comfortable and avoid expensive bills. I have explained over and over, if we are cold or hot we should adjust the temp a couple of degrees not a whole whopping 10-20!!!! and leave it there all day long!
We've had argument after argument. It never does any good. It's almost like The Mexican thinks I'm insulting his "man hood" by trying to explain how the thermostat works and what temperature we should keep it on. Ay dios mio! Imaginate if I sang this song to him?
I doubt he had central heating and air growing up en el rancho. For some reason he doesn't get it..... or maybe he does and is just ignoring me. I can be a tad bit controlling when it comes to the thermostat.
I can remember my mom getting mad at me when I was a teen. I didn't want to sweat while styling my hair and applying my make-up, so I'd set the thermostat to like 50, get ready to go out, then leave the house.
You know, maybe this is karma paying me back!
