Que Pasa, USA?

It's Throwback Thursday.  Please leave your link below if you participated.

Before I knew I'd learn to speak Spanish or marry my Mexican husband, I watched this show religiously.  I can't remember how I found it or what station I use to watch it on but, I was hooked after the 1st episode I saw.

Que Pasa, U.S.A.? was America's 1st bilingual sitcom according to Wikipedia.  The show was centered around la familia  Pena.  The grandparents were the absolute funniest!  I also loved Sharon, the amiga gringa and Violeta, la amiga Cubana.  Oh, and let's not forget Joe, the brother.... he was so handsome!  Actually, everyone is this show was pretty hilarious.

If you've never seen it and  have some grasp of the Spanish language (heck, even if you don't), check it out.   I wish they would run these episodes on TV Land.  I have discovered you can buy the episodes on DVD, which I very well may do.

Get ready to laugh....
Below I've added a couple of my favorite clips.
Enjoy

  3. Tara, I'd never heard of this show. Was it on the major networks? I wish there were more bilingual (authentic) shows that shine light on our country's diversity. Lord knows we have the audience for it.

I'd not blogged in almost 4 weeks, Amiga! El trabajo. Ya sabes. Aquí te dejo mi enlace de esta semana. :-) I'm playing catch up.

    1. Ezzy,
Honestly I do not remember what station I use to watch it on. I remember it was on cable.... I would LOVE an authentic bilingual show. There is definitely an audience... I totally agree.

I feel ya on the no blogging in a long time. I'm swamped at home and work and trying to play catch up myself. I appreciate you joining in for Throwback Thurs. I don't know what I'm going to do once the little one starts school. I'm going to have to schedule blogging! LOL
