A Rare Photo

Today is Throwback Thursday!  If you participated, please leave the link to your post below in a comment.

My hubby (right) his sister (middle) his father (left)

I absolutely love this picture of my husband when he was little!  That is him on the far right.  I could just pinch those chubby lil' cheeks...
This is the only photo we have of hubby when he was a baby.
When we visited Mexico, his family only had a few photos of the kids.  We ended up taking pictures of pictures to bring home with us.

When I look at this picture, I wonder about what life was like for him in Mexico.  Although he has told me a lot, I think there are still things he doesn't want to talk about.

He has a lot of fond memories of going to work with his father, listening to the radio with his father at night,  and how his father use to hold him.

We will always cherish this rare family photo.

I love that photo in your post. My husband didn't bring any photos of himself as a child when he came to the US, and when he asked his mother if she could send one to him, she said she didn't have it, so I have no photos of him as a child. I'm glad you were able to get some - they are such a precious memory.

  2. I just love the photo! I agree with wanting to pinch his chubby cheeks. Photos are so special...they document our family history. When our house was robbed and they stole my computer, all I could think about were the photos of my girls that I lost.

    1. OMG! Jackie, I can imagine how upsetting that was. I've often thought of storing family photos on picassa or a similar website, just in case... It would be a lot of work to scan and transfer everything over.

  5. Que tierna foto, Tara, y la suerte que tienes una de tu esposo cuando era chico. I wish for these of my parents but they weren't in the habit of taking pictures of little ones.

    1. Ezzy,
I'm so thankful we have this one pic, even if it is a pic of a pic. LOL I noticed photos were not a priority in hubby's family. Maybe they didn't have a camera or they didn't have time. My parents always had the camera in my face and I have tons of me as a child. I wish my hubby had more, I know it makes him kind of sad. I totally get longing for these types of photos.
